Well not sitting out tonight - Cape Town is windy and even a little chilly - i have a cardigan on indoors and it is only 8 o'clock
I had to be up and out the house at 5 this morning and having not got to bed until 1, i didnt fall asleep until after 3 so getting up at 4.30 am was quite hard. I managed a bowl of cereal and some coffee and met Bryan at 5 outside as we tried to silently drag my suitcase across BG. Amazingly some of the children were up in the houses and life had started for the hardworking housemothers!
We got over the border easily, Bryan dropping me off to walk over while he got petrol! It was actually quite spooky walking across a semideserted border in the dark but he soon picked me up and we drove the journey to Bloemfontein as the sun rose over the mountains - it was very beautiful!
We only had one hold up - a 20 minute wait at a stop go board. Nothing new and unexpected in that in AFrica, and we got to the airport at 7.15 in time for final check in at 7.30! I had to pay an extra 2 kg of baggage (doesnt bode well for goign home) and we had time for a cup of coffee and a croissant/muffin before i went through security! Bloem is a very small provincial airport and within an hour of arriving at the airport i was in my seat and taking off! The plane was very empty and everyone had a window seat which meant that we all had 3 seats each - nice!
I dropped off to sleep with all my space and woke up in time for the beautiful entry into Cape Town by plane! This is probably the most beautiful country to approach from the air especially today as there were small fluffy clouds around too.
We were 20 minutes early and my suitcase was there before i was which meant i was out the airport before Ray which made me panic just a little but i was confident that he would appear and after a quick phone call we found each other.
We went for a bite to eat at the Rhodes memorial, a lovely restaurant overlooking a huge area of Cape Town and it was good to catch up after 3 weeks in Lesotho.
I spent a quiet afternoon reading and relaxing in the cool wind. The evening ended with fish and chips Cape Town Style with Sue, Ray and the girls and Dillon and Amelie and a friend of theirs.
It seems quiet here after the community and busyness of Beautiful Gate but it is good tobe able to relax and get ready for the enslaught of next week when i am back to work and life again!
Will notbe late to bed tonight, will be climbing a mountain (Lions head) tomorrow night with Dillon and Kegan. Ray is not joining us which will mean that i will be the oldest and i do not feel very fit after 3 weeks with very little exercise so it should be challenging and we all know i like a challenge! I have not had many this last 3 weeks ( yeah right!!!!)

Other than that i have no plans i dont think so i will do a little exploring if i can of the locality and just chill a bit!
